Job Description

The County of Los Angeles is seeking a Clinical Psychologist II to work in Correctional Health Services. The successful candidate will serve as a staff psychologist at the full professional level, applying psychological principles in assessment, treatment, research, training, and clinical consultation. Responsibilities will include initiating and carrying out psychological research studies, collaborating on multidisciplinary projects, planning treatment programs, and performing direct service activities such as diagnostic evaluation and individual, group, and family therapy. The ideal candidate will have a Doctorate in Psychology, Educational Psychology, Education with a field of specialization in Counseling Psychology, or a related discipline, and a license to practice as a Psychologist issued by the State of California Department of Consumer Affairs, Board of Psychology. Minimum Requirements

A Doctorate from an accredited college or university in Psychology, Educational Psychology, Education with the field of specialization in Counseling Psychology, or in a discipline deemed equivalent by the State of California Department of Consumer Affairs, Board of Psychology. A license to practice as a Psychologist issued by the State of California Department of Consumer Affairs, Board of Psychology. Physical Requirements

Light physical effort may include occasional light lifting to a 10-pound limit, and some bending, stooping or squatting. Considerable walking may be involved. Special Requirements
