Location: Lewiston, ME 04240 – Explore Maine's welcoming healthcare community
Facility: Cecile J. Coulomb Emergency Center & Chest Pain Center
Start Date: October 27, 2025
End Date: January 26, 2026
Contract Duration: 13 weeks
Shift: 7p–7a (12-hour night shifts), 3 shifts/week
Weekly Hours: 36
Estimated Weekly Salary: $2020–$2070 per week
Employment Type: Locum tenens travel nursing contract
Registered Nurse Qualifications
Active RN license (no disciplinary actions)
BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
Minimum 1 year of emergency room nursing experience
At least 1 year of critical care nursing experience
Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of Lewiston, Maine
Not a previous employee of St. Mary's
Emergency Room Nurse Responsibilities
Assess and triage patients upon admission and throughout their stay
Administer IV medications, therapies, and blood products
Deliver patient education and emotional support
Document nursing care, teaching, observations, and patient responses
Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare team to provide high-quality emergency care
Note: Up to 16 hours of orientation is unpaid. St. Mary's reserves the right to cancel up to 3 shifts per 13-week contract.
