Physician - Physiatrist/Interventional Spine/Spine Consultant Outpatient Clinic
MaineHealth Neurosurgery & Spine is seeking a fellowship trained Interventional Physiatrist (MD/DO) for their well-established outpatient multispecialty Spine Center in Scarborough. The ideal candidate enhances our comprehensive model of care with proficiency in diagnosis and management as well as performs interventional procedures for non-surgical spinal conditions. Call taken from home and amounts to approximately six weeks per year. The selected candidate will join 11 physiatrists, 12 surgeons, 2 anesthesiologists, and 3 physical therapists.
About The Position
Leading Spine and Neurosurgical Practice in the state of Maine.
Clinical work includes consultations and ongoing management of spine conditions
Interventional spine injections up to 2 days per week, clinic evaluations 3 days per week
Work alongside physiatrists, neurosurgeons, orthopedic spine surgeons, and anesthesiologists
Built in 2019, the 100,000 ft2 medical building has on-site access to EMG, X-ray, musculoskeletal ultrasound, and MRI as well as two fluoro suites. Access colleagues in Neurosurgery, Physiatry, Neurology, Vascular surgery, and ENT—all in the same building
Work with other Spine centers across the MaineHealth network
Compensation package includes sign-on bonus, relocation assistance, CME expense reimbursement, and malpractice insurance

Responsibilities
Provide evaluation and management of spine-related conditions in an outpatient setting
Perform interventional spine injections as part of the treatment plan
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including neurosurgery, physiatry, neurology, and anesthesia
Contribute to program development and quality improvement within the Spine Center
Qualifications
MD/DO from an accredited medical school
Fellowship training from an ACGME-accredited program for interventional pain is a must
Board Certified/Board Eligible in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation
Prior experience with diagnosis and management of a variety of spine and musculoskeletal conditions
