Hiring for a Manufacturing Engineer in Glastonbury, CT The Manufacturing Engineer for Customer Service Engineering plays a pivotal role in overseeing the production process from design to delivery, ensuring products are manufactured efficiently, cost-effectively, and to the highest quality standards. This position involves managing priorities to address both short and long-term demands for gas turbines and ancillary equipment.

Responsibilities

Support Design for Manufacturing by providing design engineer feedback on the feasibility of manufacturing gas turbine hardware and staying informed about new manufacturing technologies and methods.

Assist Procurement and Quality by helping to identify new gas turbine hardware or special process vendors, assessing vendor capability and capacity, and facilitating technical discussions.

Support Cost Reduction by evaluating optimal lot sizes for procurement, advising on alternate processes or materials to reduce product costs, and working with design engineers to evaluate design changes aimed at cost reduction.

Support Quality by understanding AERO Quality requirements, evaluating vendor input for root cause and corrective actions, and establishing process control to support Manufacturing Process Approval.

Facilitate Communication with Vendors by translating design intent, answering technical questions, translating vendor challenges to procurement, and assessing the validity of vendor schedules.

Essential Skills

Experience in manufacturing engineering and manufacturing processes.

Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in manufacturing technology or engineering.

8+ years of experience in a related field.

Demonstrated technical competence.

Strong written and oral communication skills.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Ability to travel domestically and internationally up to 10% of the time.

Pay And Benefits The pay range for this position is $100000.00 - $150000.00/hr.
