Job Overview
Structural Engineer – Kentucky Lock Dam at Accura Engineering and Consulting Services, Inc. – full‑time. Location: Grand Rivers, KY (Kentucky Lock Dam). Base pay discussed during interview; pay range $100,000–$130,000 per year. Responsibilities
Provide professional structural engineering and construction management support for large federal projects, leading technical design, construction oversight, and contractor coordination. Serve as subject‑matter expert on national standards for dam, lock, bridge, and road structural design and foundation analysis. Review as‑built drawings, respond to RFI requests, and perform quality assurance and fabrication inspections. Prepare construction lift plans, review contractor claims, and enforce contractual structural engineering requirements. Document safety oversight, direct corrective actions, and recommend progress payments based on observed contract progress. Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent. 10+ years of experience on large complex multimillion‑dollar federal construction projects. Registered Professional Engineer (P.E.) preferred. Experience with lock, dam, levee, and heavy civil construction with emphasis on structural concrete, rebar, and formwork. Experience with design, monitoring, and shop fabrication of welded steel structures. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), Tennessee Valley Authority, or other federal project experience preferred. Physical Requirements
Physically mobile, able to lift 50 lbs and carry instruments in construction field assignments. Work in variable climate and environmental conditions including extreme cold and heat. EEO Statement
