HNTB . HNTB is looking for a Civil/Transportation Project Engineer in our Milwaukee, Wisconsin office. We seek motivated engineers eager to deliver projects for local and national clients. The ideal candidate will have experience in roadway/highway design and interdisciplinary coordination. Our Milwaukee Civil/Transportation Department, with 30 staff members, is growing to support diverse projects, including mega reconstruction projects across the state and complex infrastructure projects nationwide. This role involves producing and modifying design calculations, technical reports, engineering plans, and specifications. You will work closely with the project manager to research, develop, and deliver projects, applying engineering techniques and design criteria. You may mentor junior staff and contribute to project success. What You'll Do
Plan and distribute discipline-specific work, ensuring schedule and budget adherence. Assist in marketing efforts, including proposal generation. Develop scope of work and effort estimates for projects. Ensure technical accuracy and guide team members. Coordinate with clients and teaming partners. Collaborate with other disciplines on multi-discipline projects. Perform additional duties as assigned. What You'll Need
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering and 6 years of relevant experience, or Master’s degree in Engineering and 5 years of relevant experience, or PhD in Engineering and 4 years of relevant experience. What You'll Bring
Understanding of decision impacts on design and planning. Effective work planning and cross-disciplinary coordination. Ability to produce high-quality, on-time deliverables within scope and budget. What We Prefer
