Day in the Life of a Liaison Engineer in the Amarillo Assembly Center: We are looking for motivated engineers with a passion to apply skills and knowledge achieved through both formal and informal educational environments. We integrate, assemble, build and improve the most advanced rotorcraft in the world including a portfolio of both military and commercial products. As an entry-level Liaison Engineer at Bell in Amarillo, you can expect to:
Translate academic knowledge to real world production and design applications
Enter Material Review Board (MRB) training to achieve required certification to develop and release timely, cost-effective and technically sound repair dispositions for nonconforming product.
Collaborate with and inform Manufacturing and Quality team members regarding engineering requirements and methodologies to solve problems, increase production efficiencies, reduce cycle times, prevent errors and achieve first-time quality product deliveries to our customers.
Facilitate communication between other Engineering disciplines, Manufacturing, Quality and Suppliers relative to repair designs and resolution of engineering-related production problems.
Drive identified defective, damaged, non-conforming or malfunctioning parts, assemblies, systems, or equipment back to the source through documented Root Cause / Corrective Action (RCCA) methodologies to prevent recurrence.
Formulate improvements to Bell policies and procedures necessary to provide a disciplined framework for the daily execution of our jobs.
What You’ll Need
A Bachelor’s degree or higher with a major in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering - required
3.0 GPA or higher - preferred
0-2 years of relevant experience
What Will Make You Stand Out
Previous internship experience in an engineering role, preferably with an aerospace, technology and/or manufacturing organization, especially if part of the Textron family of companies.
Work-related or personal experience including willingness to expand knowledge of complex mechanical systems. Examples include troubleshooting, disassembly, inspection, repair, reassembly and test of automotive systems / components; farm equipment, robotic devices, etc.
Proficiency in CATIA [3-D modeling], Planning, Database & Microsoft Office tools
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Direct knowledge and interest to make the high desert of the Texas Panhandle your future home.
