Your Purpose
As a
Mechanical Supervisor,
you will lead mechanical maintenance operations across Brightline’s facilities, ensuring train readiness, infrastructure reliability, and regulatory compliance. This role blends technical expertise, team leadership, and strategic coordination to support safe, efficient, and high-performing rail operations. Your Role [Essential Functions]: Operations & Maintenance Supervise daily mechanical maintenance across train systems and facilities to ensure operational efficiency. Guarantee timely train readiness and departures from maintenance hubs. Monitor facility conditions and coordinate repairs, upgrades, and expansion projects. Lead inspections and final approvals for defect resolution and regulatory compliance. Safety & Compliance Conduct safety briefings and enforce adherence to SOPs and FRA regulations (Parts 217, 219, 229, 238, 243). Act as primary liaison with regulatory agencies, ensuring audit preparedness and compliance. Champion environmental and sustainability standards throughout operations. Team Leadership Manage and mentor technicians and contractors across multiple sites. Deliver training, delegate tasks, and provide performance feedback to drive team excellence. Cultivate a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement. Project & Issue Management Lead cross-functional initiatives and support facility expansion efforts. Document, prioritize, and resolve defects through contractor coordination and inspections. Support incident response and maintain operational continuity during disruptions. Reporting & Communication Analyze operational data to identify trends and inform strategic improvements. Develop and distribute comprehensive reports for leadership and stakeholders. Monitor internal communication channels to ensure timely updates and organizational alignment. Managerial Responsibility Direct supervisory responsibility including the authority to hire, transfer, suspend, layoff, recall, promote, discharge, assign, reward or discipline or effectively recommend such actions.
