Responsibilities
Check that correct fabric is brought out and check for shade variations and any other defects prior to cutting.
Be responsible for straightness, fabric repeat issues and other issues related to correct fabric appearance on the finished piece.
Be responsible for spreading and cutting fabric in the most economical way.
Tagging and separating the cover for distribution to sewing department.
Qualifications
At least 3 years of experience in fabric cutting for upper end upholstered furniture.
Experience reading and understanding production tickets.
Ability to interpret simple cutting instructions commonly placed in a cutting manual.
Ability to perform multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment to assure delivery requirements.
Preferred Qualities
High School Diploma or Equivalent
Team-oriented personality
Experience working with the Gerber 2500
Experience in Flow Matching
Physical Requirements
Must be able to lift 25-50 lbs
