Field Engineer
in the Western United States (e.g., Nevada, Oregon, Washington) to support our growing
Data
team. The role focuses on Ericsson LTE and 5G technologies to support complex site integration and commissioning, driving network upgrades and expansions throughout the West region. WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING
Perform new technology integrations for LTE and 5G networks in collaboration with construction teams
Install, configure, and integrate Ericsson RAN equipment including basebands, radios, routers, and indoor systems
Troubleshoot alarms related to fiber, VSWR, connection issues, and LOCP
Conduct call testing on standalone 5G bands (N19/N41)
Support project schedules, including working maintenance windows when required
Maintain accurate records of installation, commissioning, and integration activities
Coordinate with internal integration engineers and external partners to complete project objectives
WHAT YOU WILL BRING TO THE TEAM
2+ years of telecom field experience (BTS/radio, fiber, telco, light electrical)
Proven experience installing and integrating Ericsson LTE & 5G systems
Ability to integrate and adjust Ericsson basebands (BB5216, BB6630, BB6648, BB6651) in compliance with standards
Familiarity with integrating IXRe and performing local router access
Understanding of port mapping and power for small cells and macro radios (2203, 4402, 4455, 4435, 4460, 4480, 8863, 4408, LPRU, Air 4435/5322)
Exposure to Ericsson RDS, Radio DOTs, Indoor Fusion, and IRU models
Solid grasp of RAN concepts, project management, backhaul signaling, disaster recovery, and location-based services
Competent with computers and telecom software tools
Holds relevant Ericsson 5G technician certifications
Flexible to work nights (midnight–6 am) or days as projects demand
Willingness to travel within Central and West regions
Authorized to work in the US without sponsorship
Knowledge of Nokia integration is a plus
YOUR ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS The physical environment requires the employee to work inside. The employee must frequently stand, walk, sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; talk or hear; lift up to 15 pounds; bend; and frequently perform reading and computer-related tasks. Occasional movement of equipment may be required.
TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS Travel as necessary to support company and customer needs, around 90%.
