Onsite Position Your Responsibilities
As a
Team Leader
for the two paint systems for John Deere Dubuque Works located in Dubuque, IA, you will supervise and lead a team of production employees to achieve objectives in safety, quality, efficiency and continuous improvement. In addition you will: Collaborate with other department and shift team leads, engineering, maintenance, and support staff. Determine manufacturing priorities based on the production schedule and monitor employee work requirements to meet delivery dates. Administer employee policies, practices, procedures, work rules, and overall guidance. Monitor department operating budget targets, direct departmental continuous improvement plans, and implement and monitor safety programs and 5S. This position is not eligible for a flexible work schedule arrangement; however, the manager is open to accommodating flexibility needs within the constraints of leading a team in a production environment. Prior knowledge or experience with paint systems Experience working in a manufacturing environment Experience working within a union environment Working knowledge of the CI (continuous improvement) process and 5S methodology Experience with an incentive pay system such as CIPP (Continuous Improvement Pay Plan) Experience with capacity and manpower planning SAP experience Education
