The first production facility in the USA by SBA Group, a furniture manufacturer from the EU member in Lithuania, with operations starting in late 2025. Over 250 professionals will work here to build their careers at a highly robotic and automated factory serving millions of homes in the US. We are seeking a skilled and motivated Facility Engineer to join our team at the manufacturing facility in Davie County, NC. The Facility Engineer will play a critical role in ensuring the reliability, safety, and efficiency of plant operations. This individual will oversee facility maintenance, infrastructure, and utility systems, while directly managing a small team of two electricians.
Responsibilities
Oversee facility operations, ensuring smooth and safe functioning of infrastructure equipment and systems.
Manage facility-related projects, including upgrades, installations, and repairs
Monitor and optimize energy usage, utilities, and facility systems to improve efficiency
Develop and implement preventive and predictive maintenance programs
Ensure compliance with safety regulations, environmental standards, and company policies
Coordinate with external contractors and vendors as needed
Prepare and manage facility budgets, maintenance schedules, and documentation
Supervise and support a team of two electricians, ensuring quality work
Specific areas of responsibility include
HVAC and climate control systems
Dust extraction and air filtration systems
Compressed air systems
Electrical distribution (panels, switchgear, transformers, UPS)
Plumbing and water systems, including wastewater management
Fire protection and life safety systems
Lighting systems, including emergency and exterior lighting
Material handling systems (conveyors, dock equipment)
Security and access control systems
Environmental and emissions control systems
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or related field preferred)
3+ years of facility or maintenance engineering experience in a manufacturing environment
Experience supervising maintenance personnel, preferably electricians or technical staff
Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and facility systems
Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and leadership skills
Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities effectively
Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
