Summer 2026 , you will help us empower our clients to achieve energy-efficient building solutions and create a greener future. AEI collaborates across healthcare, science, technology, energy, education, and other vital sectors, delivering innovative engineering solutions and fostering a collaborative environment where you can grow your expertise and contribute to meaningful projects.
Responsibilities
Work with and be mentored by experienced engineers; as you gain experience, help mentor designers. Perform load calculations, determine system sizing and layouts, calculate equipment sizes, select equipment, complete field surveys, and review equipment shop drawings. As you gain project experience, take on lead responsibilities for piping/plumbing project teams, write specifications, participate in project meetings with clients and other consultants, and support construction-phase work.
Qualifications
BSME/BSAE from ABET-accredited school. Minimum GPA of 2.5. Non-academic internship; internship experience in the MEP consulting engineering field preferred. Leadership involvement in extracurricular activities/student organizations preferred. EIT certification (Passed the FE exam) a plus. Strong internship experience in the MEP consulting engineering field preferred.
Skills and Competencies
Strong spoken and written communications skills. Excellent organization and time management. Quick technical comprehension with a focus on client outcomes. Ability to prioritize multiple tasks effectively. Ability to work well both independently and in teams.
