District Overview

Kiewit Power Constructors (KPC)

provides direct-hire construction services for Power Generation using a union craft force. Kiewit Power Constructors builds major EPC and bid-build natural gas power plants, solar fields, and energy storage systems across North America. All of Kiewit Power is committed to Kiewit’s “Nobody Gets Hurt” Philosophy.

Location

Based in Kansas City, Kiewit Power Constructors builds projects across the U.S. Job locations are project-based and finalized closer to start date. Roles may involve travel and relocations; rotations between field and office work may occur depending on project scope and stage.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with a dynamic team to build, estimate, and schedule mechanical, electrical, and heavy industrial construction projects Prepare detailed work plans and schedules to guide project execution Ensure quality control, manage and track costs, purchase and manage materials, and maintain schedule and equipment logistics Administer safety programs with strict adherence to Kiewit’s “Nobody Gets Hurt” philosophy Foster and maintain strong relationships with owners and stakeholders Support both administrative and field operations: review drawings/specs, perform material takeoffs, and prepare cost estimates Supervise subcontractors, coordinate with vendors, and uphold high construction standards

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Electrical, Mechanical or Civil Engineering Knowledge of construction safety and current OSHA standards Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and owner specifications Familiarity with project scheduling and cost control techniques Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with Hard Dollar, Revit, SAP, ProLog or Primavera P6 is a plus Excellent organizational and time management skills Strong written and verbal communication skills Attention to detail and ability to identify discrepancies Motivated with a strong work ethic and commitment to quality Ability to work independently and as part of a team Physically able to navigate active construction sites in varying climates Willingness to relocate and travel as required Access to reliable transportation to and from work

Compensation & Benefits

Base Compensation:

$63,804 - $95,705 (Actual compensation varies by education, experience, skillset, and location) This posting is active from 09/03/2025 to 05/29/2026.
