Ulteig is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Renewables Electrical Engineer. The Engineer acts as a project lead on wind and battery energy storage (BESS) projects. They are a technical leader and applies standard engineering techniques and procedures on complex projects.
What You’ll Do
Oversees and coordinates detailed phases of utility‑scale Wind and BESS medium voltage collection system design, including plans, equipment elevations, and technical studies. Provides design recommendations, performs engineering calculations, and mentors junior engineers with technical guidance.
What We Expect From You
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering required. ABET accredited program or equivalent required
PE or P.Eng. license strongly preferred
5+ years of engineering experience preferred
Ability to perform AC & DC studies using electrical modelling software
Knowledge of National Electrical Code (NEC), National Electrical Safety Code (NESC), and industry standards a plus
Prior experience working with physical design of MV and LV electrical systems
Proven experience in Microsoft Software Applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Must be analytical, self‑motivated, and possess the ability to work in a high‑paced environment while maintaining a positive, enthusiastic attitude
Up to 15% travel required
Valid driver’s license preferred
Must have permanent authorization to work in the United States
