With general direction, design excavation, dewatering, shallow/deep foundations, dams/reservoirs/levees, geo-environmental projects, etc. engineering designs of basic to high complexity to meet client project requirements. Review draft designs for compliance with federal, state and local regulations and sign off on completed designs. Ensure that firm policies and practices are followed on all designs. Perform site reviews and studies as needed to ensure designs are aligned with location specifications. Update design requirements as necessary. Perform soil sampling analyses and modeling. Contribute to the firm’s TKM by developing white papers and technical design documentation of new or special case designs or studies. Submit technical papers and designs for publishing to technical journals. Collaborate with sales staff to create proposals in response to client requests for proposals (RFPs). Review draft proposals for adherence to firm, industry, state, local and federal regulations and best practices. Meet with current and potential future clients to review their design needs. Attend conferences, symposia, etc. to improve visibility of the firm’s products and services in collaboration with applicable sales staff. Perform other duties as required. Provide technical guidance and training to more junior staff. Mentor more junior staff and develop them for future growth within the discipline and firm. May supervise the work of junior engineers on project work. Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Geotechnical, Civil, Mining or Geologic Engineering or related discipline. Professional Engineer (PE) license. 7 years of related experience. Domestic and/or international travel may be required. Travel frequency contingent on duties and project demands. Equivalent additional directly related experience will be considered in lieu of a degree. Certifications/Licenses

Professional Engineer Preferred Qualifications

Master’s Degree in Geotechnical Engineering. Travel

Approx. 20% travel required. Skills and Abilities

Expert knowledge of CAD/CADD (3D/4D) software and practices. Strong engineering design principles. Proficiency with Microsoft Office. Excellent verbal and written communications skills. Expert knowledge of federal, state and local regulations. EEO Statement

Pay Range Minimum: $99,237 Pay Range Maximum: $173,680 Additional Information
