Radiation Therapist II, Helen F. Graham Cancer Center
ChristianaCare is hiring a full time Radiation Therapist at our Helen F. Graham Cancer Center. Our mission is to provide safe, effective radiation treatments to our cancer patients.
As a Radiation Therapist you would, under clinical supervision of the Chief, and the professional direction of a radiation oncologist, perform various radiation therapy treatments and/or simulations at a technical level requiring minimal supervision of technical details.
Schedule
Monday-Friday, 8 hour day shift
No weekends or holidays

Responsibilities
Administers treatment or CT imaging with a Radiation Therapist II, through proper setup, positioning, machine preparation, and monitoring.
Keeps accurate documentation of treatment administration and CT imaging; concurs with Radiation Therapist II regarding treatment and/or CT imaging.
Prepares and maintains scheduling of treatments, imaging procedures, simulations, and related appointments.
Documents services rendered and charges appropriately.
Provides daily care and monitoring of patient treatment tolerance and makes necessary referrals.
Observes all safety rules for patients and staff per NRC guidelines.
Adheres to hospital and departmental policies and procedures.
Attends departmental meetings and in-services.
Fabricates custom blocks and molds as needed under the direction of a physician, dosimetrist, physicist, or Radiation Therapist II.
Maintains a clean and safe work environment; assists with supply management.
Demonstrates skills to provide care appropriate to pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients, including age-appropriate interpretation and communication of needs.
Performs assigned work safely, reports unsafe conditions or hazards promptly to supervisor.
Performs other related duties as required.
Qualifications
High school diploma
Graduate of an accredited school of Radiation Therapy (CHEA, university-based)
Bachelor’s Degree preferred
5 years of professional experience and/or at least 3 years at Christiana Care Radiation Oncology
Special Requirements
Board certification in Radiation Therapy Technology (ARRT)
State of Delaware licensure as Radiation Therapy Technology; may be required to obtain Maryland license

Hourly Pay Range: $41.28 - $66.05
This pay rate/range represents ChristianaCare’s good faith and reasonable estimate of compensation at the time of posting.
