Job Opportunity: We are seeking a dedicated professional to join our mental health team as a Mental Health Worker. This role will participate in the delivery of care to our patients, working collaboratively with our multidisciplinary team to provide exceptional patient care. Major Responsibilities:

Serves as a member of the Mental Health Team, providing support to internal and external customers, including patients, families, nurses, and physicians. Provides clear and timely communication to the Registered Nurse regarding patient observations and changes. Maintains patient safety through environmental safety rounds, fall prevention, and de-escalation techniques. Participates in the development and maintenance of a safe and therapeutic environment. Leads or co-leads group activities, such as goal-setting and dual diagnosis groups. Assists in medical emergencies and obtains vital signs as directed by the R.N. Documents daily progress notes, group notes, and other relevant information. Provides personal care to optimize patients' independent functioning in daily routines. Position Qualifications:

License/Certification/Education: Associate's degree or at least 2 years' experience in behavioral health required. American Heart Association Basic Life Support or HeartSaver certification required within one month of employment. AVADE required within 30 days of hire. Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor's degree preferred. Medical terminology and computer skills preferred. Two years' experience in a health-related field preferred. Physical Demands and Environmental Conditions: Work is considered sedentary, with occasional walking and standing. The position requires work indoors in a normal patient care environment.
