Nurse Manager Medical Pulmonary Unit Med‑Surg

$104,270.40 - $156,416.00 / year

Responsibilities
You will participate in the development of the plan of patient care services for the responsible clinical area(s) to meet the Mission and Vision of the Hospital, and ensure unit compliance with all regulatory agencies and the State of Nevada Nurse Practice Act.
You will assist in development of staffing standards for clinical area(s) of responsibility, ensure daily staffing standards meet productivity target, and coach charge nurses and other unit personnel on effective staffing patterns.
You will select, train and evaluate subordinates and initiate personnel actions in accordance with the Human Resources policies and organizational philosophy, and provide opportunities for professional growth.
You will perform data collection and analysis for decision‑making and seek opportunities to improve care or system process, incorporating performance improvement principles and data.
Qualifications
Graduate of Accredited School of Nursing; BSN required.
Current acute clinical knowledge required. Minimum of 1 year management experience required.
Recent acute clinical experience (3 years); preferably in area of clinical area assigned.
Current Nevada license to practice nursing.
Current BLS certification.
