Family Nurse Practitioner (PRN) – Paragon Infusion Centers
Elevance Health invites applications for the Family Nurse Practitioner (PRN) role at Paragon Infusion Centers in Greenwood Village, CO. This PRN position requires an active, unrestricted NP license and active Family Nurse Practitioner Certification. Work is onsite full‑time and covers days shift with sick call‑offs, PTO coverage, and higher census days as needed.
Responsibilities
Administers ordered therapies according to prescriber orders, facility protocols, INS standards and company policy.
Completes admission process as directed by Center Director.
Performs physical assessment on each patient as warranted and for new consults.
Refers to NP on duty for complete physical assessment as needed.
Documents all pertinent data in the patient’s medical record.
Reports significant changes or observations to the Center Director and follows up on any identified problem.
Communicates effectively with other members of the IV team on patient status and observations.
Maintains patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA.
Evaluates patient response to therapy and documents findings.
Educates patients and/or family members regarding therapy plan.
Participates in the Quality Improvement program.
Ensures medication orders are complete, appropriate, accurate and up to date prior to treatment.
Participates in the On‑Call program (after‑hours, weekend, holiday calls and visitations).
Provides clinical coverage for nurse practitioners on PTO/LOA and may support new market launches.
Travel to worksite and other locations as necessary.
Minimum Requirements
MS in Nursing or equivalent with minimum 2 years of nursing experience.
Experience with IVs required.
Current, active, unrestricted NP license with scope of license in applicable state.
Active, current, and valid Family Nurse Practitioner Certification.
Multi‑state licensure required if providing services in multiple states.
Completion of a Tuberculosis test required; Hepatitis B vaccine or signed waiver.
Preferred Skills
Healthcare experience with IVs strongly preferred.
2+ years of experience with IV preferred.
Port, PICC & Peripheral Line experience preferred.
Medication mixing experience preferred.
Titration experience preferred.
Benefits and Compensation Salary range: $103,438.40 – $170,684.80 (Greenwood Village, CO).
