Mammography Technologist
for our Breast Diagnostic Center. The Mammography Tech operates Mammography and Radiology imaging equipment to produce images of patients' bodies for diagnostic purposes and assists physicians with procedures in a sterile environment. Responsibilities include: Performing mammogram exams as per protocol on various body parts efficiently. Completing pre-exam screening, greeting patients, assisting with gowns, completing history forms, and stocking supplies. Verifying doctor’s orders, checking labs, initiating patient charts, administering contrast media when necessary, and transporting patients. Organizing and prioritizing patient exams, and communicating effectively with physicians, co-workers, patients, and families. Qualifications required: Graduate of an AMA-approved Radiography program. ARRT registered with advanced registration in Mammography. BLS certification from AHA or Red Cross. Minimum of 2 years of experience preferred.
