PM Pediatrics is the largest pediatric urgent care network in the country. The company was founded and is still led by PEM physicians with a mission to provide an alternative for children who would otherwise seek emergency care. We are academically driven, with the nation’s first Pediatric Urgent Care Fellowship program, a national annual conference (www.pucconference.com), and a fertile base for research. PM Pediatrics is set up like an ED but in a private practice setting with x-ray and lab services on site, great support staff, specialty consultations when necessary (e.g., plastic surgery, orthopedics), and high acuity with a diverse case mix. PM Pediatric Care is hiring Advanced Practice Providers with pediatric experience to join our team. Under the guidance of the Regional Medical Officer, APPs evaluate and provide evidence-based treatment to pediatric patients in an urgent care setting. Job Responsibilities: Assess and treat acute injury and illness for both in-person and telemedicine patients, including management of febrile infants/children, ear/nose/throat infections, pediatric abdominal pain, anaphylaxis, procedural anxiolysis, respiratory distress, croup, and asthma. Perform procedural care such as abscess drainage, foreign body removal, and laceration repair with sutures, staples, or dermal adhesive. Take radiographs and provide preliminary interpretation of x-rays, with official radiology overreads in applicable states. Training will be provided. Oversee patient flow and daily operations in both in-person and telemedicine settings, including supervision of other providers, staff, and trainees. Follow policies and procedures to maintain operations and report needed changes to management. Coordinate with onsite and telemedicine teams to ensure completion of daily tasks like lab and radiology result review, patient follow-up, and timely responses to patient inquiries. Maintain a safe, secure, equitable, and healthy work environment by adhering to safety procedures, quality standards, and legal regulations. Protect patient confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Update knowledge through internal training, continuing education, professional publications, and participation in professional organizations. Assist with patient complaints and participate in service recovery when needed. Focus on efficiency metrics to improve urgent care flow, antibiotic stewardship, and patient experience. Qualifications include pediatric experience, with preferred backgrounds in Pediatric ER, ICU, or Urgent Care. Comfort with minor surgical procedures, including suturing. Master's of Science in Nursing or Doctoral degree in Nursing, or graduation from an accredited Physician Assistant program. Licensed as a Registered Nurse and Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in the applying state. Board certification by ANCC or NCCPA. Compensation: $110,000 - $175,000 The listed salary range complies with local regulations and may vary depending on experience and location.
