Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine (OMM) Faculty position at The Chicago School / Illinois College of Osteopathic Medicine (IllinoisCOM). This full-time faculty opening is at the rank of Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Full Professor. Academic rank will be determined by The Chicago School & Illinois COM academic rank policy. Responsibilities

Provide leadership and supervision for preclinical osteopathic medical students within IllinoisCOM. Participate as co-course director for the first-year PCOP course; lead PCOP lecture and lab didactic sessions as assigned and agreed upon with the OMM Department Chair. Assist with curriculum development and assessment in the PCOP course as needed. Contribute to the development and delivery of an innovative, interdisciplinary PCOP curriculum. Teach medical students using evidence-based instructional methods, including case-based learning and OMM lab supervision and table training. Support student coaching, mentoring, and professional development in academic and clinical settings. Collaborate with other faculty and clinical educators to integrate PCOP content across the curriculum. Represent the College in professional organizations and events; assist with student recruitment and community outreach. Serve as a member of the Illinois COM curriculum committee; advocate for diversity, equity, and inclusion in medical education. Engage in clinical practice (strongly encouraged). Promote a culture of research and scholarship. Qualifications

DO with board certification or eligibility in a related specialty. At least 1 year of experience in medical education (including participation during residency training for new graduates). Demonstrated excellence in teaching, curriculum development, and student mentorship. Strong supervisory, interpersonal communication (verbal and written), and problem-solving skills. Motivation to contribute to the growth and development of the OMM department and the university. Commitment to collaborative, interprofessional education and integration of osteopathic principles and practice in training. At least 1 year of Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine clinical practice and teaching experience (can include residency and fellowship training for new graduates). Proficiency in basic computer skills utilizing Microsoft Office Suite, including PowerPoint, Word, Outlook and Excel. Ideal Qualifications

Experience as a course or co-course director in Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine at an accredited Osteopathic medical school. Experience as Program Director or faculty in an ONMM +1 residency program. ONMM Board Certification/Eligibility, Special Proficiency in Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine (CS-POMM) and/or prior NUFA graduate. Strong background in point-of-care ultrasound (especially musculoskeletal), educational innovation, simulation-based training, and competency-based assessment including COMLEX-style item writing. Established record of research and scholarly activity in medical education or respective specialty. Demonstrated commitment to health equity, diversity, and inclusion in clinical practice and medical education. Position Details

This opportunity is budgeted at $175,000 - $300,000 base compensation, commensurate with rank and experience. Additional compensation factors may impact total compensation. This opportunity offers base compensation of $175,000 - $300,000 annually.
