Overview
Air Traffic Control Instructor-II at MSP — SAIC. Location: Minneapolis, MN. Schedule: Casual (includes On Call and Temporary). Travel: No. Clearance: Public Trust. Employment type: Full-time. This role supports FAA air traffic controller training services at the Minneapolis–Saint Paul International ATCT (MSP) and involves hands-on classroom and simulation training, curriculum development, and mentoring of students and Remote Pilot Operators (RPO). Responsibilities
Deliver high-quality classroom and/or simulation laboratory training to a diverse group of students, including developmental air traffic controllers and Certified Professional Controllers (CPC). Mentor students and RPOs as needed and participate in curriculum design and development. Demonstrate knowledge and skills for obtaining radar and/or non-radar simulation laboratory certifications at FAA facilities within the U.S. National Airspace System. Interfacing with FAA personnel at all levels to ensure training meets local facility and FAA mission needs. Qualifications
US Citizenship required with the ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance. Minimum of five (5) years of FAA CPC experience controlling live traffic, or recent experience as a contract Instructor at an FAA facility, at MSP or a facility of the same type or greater level. Direct experience as a CPC at MSP is preferred but not required. Education
High school diploma or equivalent (GED) required. FAA Certified Professional Controller (CPC) certification required with the ability to obtain and maintain Instructor-II Simulation Laboratory and Classroom Certification. Salary
