Highway Engineering Project Manager

We have an immediate opening for a Highway Engineering Project Manager for our Blacksburg, VA office. We are a rapidly growing company with a strong industry reputation and an expanding presence in the region. This position will play an important role in expanding our market presence companywide. Responsibilities

Develop and/or manage roadway design and plan production for highway projects, including geometric design, drainage design, signing and pavement marking design, utility coordination, maintenance of traffic design, contract document development, and quality control reviews Client interaction and staff mentoring and development Qualifications

5 to 10 years of experience in highway design/project management Associate’s degree in engineering or related major, Bachelor’s degree preferred Virginia Professional Engineer license preferred, but not required Knowledge of VDOT construction plans, specifications, policies, and procedures Experience managing roadway projects and preparing contract documents in accordance with VDOT policies and procedures; experience with other state and local agencies in the Mid-Atlantic a plus Excellent communication and business development skills including developing client relations, strategic partnering, preparing proposals and presentations Ability to travel to project sites, company offices and client meetings Positive attitude and willingness to work cooperatively with others Willingness to continue to learn and grow technically and professionally within the company Benefits
