Responsibilities
Initiate appropriate preventative nursing procedures and administer medications and treatments as prescribed by the physician in the physician’s plan of care Counsel the patient and family in meeting nursing and related needs Assist the patient with daily living activities and facilitate efforts toward self-sufficiency and comfort Communicate with the physician regarding patient needs and report changes in condition; obtain and receive physician’s orders as required Provide direct hospice care with an emphasis on community health education, experience, and maintaining a safe environment for the patient Qualifications Primary series of the COVID-19 vaccine required Graduate of an accredited nursing school with a current, active RN license in Rhode Island CPR certification required Bachelor’s degree with at least one year of hospice care, long-term care, or ICU experience Must be a licensed driver with insured, well-maintained vehicle according to state and organizational requirements Seniority level
