Job Description
Pembroke Hospital is a 120‑bed acute care, inpatient behavioral health facility located south of Boston, in Pembroke, MA. Situated on 26 acres, we offer inpatient and partial hospitalization treatment to teens, adults and older adults, and our services are designed to assess, stabilize, and treat patients by addressing their primary symptoms and problems. Position Overview The Mental Health Associate is a vital part of Pembroke Hospital’s treatment team. This full‑time position offers evening or overnight shift options. Full‑time schedule requires work every other weekend, and competitive shift differentials are provided for evening, night, and weekend shifts.

Responsibilities
Ensure a safe and therapeutic environment.
Provide routine patient care as required in a psychiatric environment.
Document and communicate unusual or erratic changes in client behaviors.
Assist with patient groups and activities.
Work with culturally and generationally diverse populations to meet their individual needs.
Provide trauma‑informed and age‑specific care.
Maintain therapeutic boundaries and utilize crisis intervention techniques.

Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor’s degree preferred.
College student pursuing a degree in behavioral health, psychology, or human services preferred.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Impeccable judgment and professionalism.
Ability to maintain composure in a crisis situation.
