Position Summary The Logistics Coordinator has general responsibility for coordinating and supervising all operational activities assigned daily. Under the direction of the Operations Supervisor, the Operations Lead supervises associates in warehousing, receiving, and shipping to meet company service and cost objectives. Associates are expected to meet objectives in performance, safety, and quality and to comply with corporate and site-specific policies.

Responsibilities

Training Responsibilities: mentor and train new and existing associates in distribution activities; train on Standard Operating Procedures including shipping, receiving, picking, and quality control; assist in forklift operation and certification for new and existing associates.

Shipping/Receiving Responsibilities: supervise unloading of inbound shipments, stacking, picking and staging outbound shipments; verify inbound/outbound paperwork with drivers; load orders according to doors and trailers; ensure procedures follow SOPs; research discrepancies in shipping/receiving.

Customer Service: conduct yourself professionally; communicate with customers as needed; prepare activity reports for site management.

Quality Control: verify products/orders meet quality standards; report damages or discrepancies; perform packaging as required; participate in quality meetings.

Safety, Housekeeping, and Compliance: comply with ISO standards; execute safety protocols; maintain a clean and orderly work area; comply with SOPs and OSHA/MSDS standards; participate in safety meetings.

Labor Management: direct warehouse team; assist with productivity tracking and payroll hours; assist in scheduling and ensuring proper assignment of tasks; ensure adherence to quality procedures.

Responsibilities and Authority: participate in department meetings; initiate corrective actions to prevent non-conformities; report issues to Quality Department as needed.

Equipment Operation/ Maintenance: operate equipment such as forklifts and related tools; ensure equipment safety and certification; perform minor maintenance as required.

Other Duties: perform clerical tasks as guided; may work evenings, weekends, and overtime as needed.

Minimum Qualifications

Education: High school diploma or GED.

Experience: 1 year in a logistics/distribution environment; ability to operate MHE; ability to work in varying warehouse temperatures.

Certificates: Forklift training certification.

Skills, Knowledge and Abilities

Computer Skills: basic computer, RF scanners, WMS functionality.

Language: English (reading, writing, verbal).

Mathematical Skills: basic to intermediate for quantities, inventory, and distribution tasks.

Other: attention to detail, ability to work with minimal supervision, effective communication, adaptability to a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications

2-4 years in warehouse/logistics/distribution; 2-4 years forklift experience; current or prior MHE certification.

Physical Demands and Work Environment Physical demands: occasional handling/fingering, sitting; frequent bending; constant walking and standing; ability to lift/push/pull 21-50 pounds; reach above shoulder, reach outward, squat or kneel.

Work environment: low to moderate noise; minimal exposure to fumes or airborne particles; reasonable accommodations available.

Compensation and EEO We provide market-competitive compensation. The pay range for this role is $20 to $29.00 per hour, dependent on experience and qualifications.
