Overview
The Department of Health Care Services (DHCS) is the backbone of California’s health care safety net. This is an exciting opportunity to join our diverse team in the following role. About this Role
The Managed Care Quality and Monitoring Division has an opening for a Health Program Specialist (HPS) II under the direction of the Specialized Monitoring Section Chief. The HPS II leads the development, coordination, implementation, and oversight of health care policies related to Medi-Cal Managed Care Plans (MCPs) and timely claims payment. The HPS II will serve as a highly skilled technical program consultant, performing functions where the level of expertise required is substantially greater than that of other nonsupervisory positions. This position acts as the subject matter expert (SME) for timely claims payments and other programs, policies and projects as assigned across the managed care delivery system.
