Production Line Maintenance Supervisor, Model 3, Body in White (Night Shift) Responsibilities include managing a group of Equipment Maintenance Technicians responsible for equipment availability and performance; perform preventative maintenance and repair on electro-mechanical, robotic, and pneumatic automotive manufacturing equipment; develop and maintain maintenance and calibration schedules for tools, machinery, and equipment used in General Assembly; support engineering and manufacturing activities including 5S and Lean manufacturing, material handling improvements, production line configuration, and safety procedures; lead the maintenance team as a hands-on, collaborative leader; collaborate with cross-functional teams and department leaders to address issues affecting part quality, production efficiency, work cell ergonomics, and equipment maintenance; demonstrate strong interpersonal, organizational, and management skills as an innovator and change agent.

What You'll Do

Establish systems to ensure preventative maintenance is 100% on-time and effective for all manufacturing tools and equipment, including robots and other automated/semi-automated systems

Day-to-day coverage of production line equipment, including rapid response on broken equipment to minimize downtime and maximize productivity

Investigate and implement countermeasures to prevent repetitive breakdowns

Assist with electrical and mechanical code compliance, safety, and lean manufacturing initiatives

Maintain and develop up-to-date maintenance and calibration procedures and schedules

Develop new maintenance instructions for new equipment or changes, and train maintenance teams

Manage small projects involving multiple departments and/or outside contractors

What You'll Bring

Bachelor's Degree in Industrial, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering, military experience, or equivalent

5+ years of supervision/leadership experience

5+ years of extensive experience troubleshooting and repairing industrial equipment

Minimum of 3-5 years of maintenance technician management experience in a high-volume manufacturing environment

Skilled at troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, welding, robotic, and/or pneumatic systems

Experience with 3-phase 480/208 VAC, single-phase 208/120 VAC, and 24 VDC systems

Proficient in English (spoken and written)

Essential Physical Demands

Ability to perform physically demanding work for extended periods (up to 12 hours)

Ability to stand and walk for long periods, including uneven terrain

Lift and carry up to 35 lbs. regularly; ability to carry 20 lbs up and down stairs

Frequently bend, lift, reach, stoop, kneel, squat, crouch, and twist

Climb and maintain balance on ladders/scaffolding

Ability to identify issues in processes and respond to safety signals

Use Personal Protective Equipment as required

Expected Compensation

$96,000 - $144,000 annual salary plus cash and stock awards and benefits
