About the Program The

BBVA Corporate & Investment Banking Summer Analyst Program

in

New York

is a ten‑week internship designed for ambitious, high‑achieving students entering their final year of undergraduate study (Class of 2027). The program provides hands‑on exposure to the dynamic world of investment banking, capital markets, and risk management within a leading global financial institution.

As a Summer Analyst, you will:

Contribute to live transactions, market activities, and client initiatives from day one.

Participate in comprehensive training covering financial modeling, valuation, technical skills, and product knowledge.

Collaborate with experienced professionals across business lines to deliver client‑focused solutions.

Receive mentorship from senior leaders and career development support throughout the program.

Engage with peers and colleagues across BBVA’s international network, gaining a truly global perspective.

Program Location The program is based in

BBVA’s New York office , the U.S. headquarters for Corporate & Investment Banking. New York serves as the central hub for BBVA’s client coverage, capital markets, and advisory activities in the Americas, offering interns exposure to the full spectrum of CIB products and services.

Business Areas Summer Analysts in New York will be placed in one of the following Corporate & Investment Banking teams:

Corporate and Investment Banking Industry Coverage Develops and manages long‑term relationships with corporate and institutional clients, coordinating financing and advisory solutions across industries.

Coverage areas include:

Consumer & Retail

Energy

Technology, Media & Telecommunications

Construction & Infrastructure

Financial Institutions Group

Provides clients with access to capital markets products such as foreign exchange, fixed income, and equity‑linked instruments. Summer Analysts gain insight into how macroeconomic trends and market dynamics influence client activity and product strategy.

Investment Banking Advises clients on complex financing and strategic transactions across sectors. Summer Analysts gain hands‑on experience in areas such as:

Project Finance

Capital Solutions

ESG and Low Carbon Advisory

Global Transaction Banking The Global Transaction Banking team provides innovative solutions in cash management, trade finance, and working capital optimization. Summer Analysts in this area will learn how to deliver services that help clients manage liquidity, payments, and global trade flows efficiently. This is a client‑centric area focused on technology‑driven transaction solutions.

Risk Risk is central to BBVA’s culture and success. The Risk team ensures the bank maintains a strong control environment and sustainable risk profile. Summer Analysts will develop skills in credit analysis, portfolio monitoring, market and operational risk management, and gain exposure to regulatory frameworks. This area is well‑suited for candidates with strong analytical and critical thinking skills.

Candidate Profile We are seeking

rising seniors graduating in May or June 2027

who demonstrate:

Strong academic performance (all majors considered; finance, economics, business, or STEM preferred)

Analytical and quantitative skills, with attention to detail

Strong communication and interpersonal abilities

Team‑oriented mindset and motivation to learn in a fast‑paced environment

Interest in financial markets, corporate finance, and global banking
