Overview
Geosyntec Consultants is seeking a
Senior Project Manager - Remediation
in our
Columbia, MD or Washington, DC
office. The role will help grow our contaminated site assessment and remediation practices and contribute to environmental projects across the design, permitting, and construction stages, including financial and technical evaluation.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities
Develop site investigation, remediation, and monitoring strategies and plans for contaminated sites.
Manage tasks and projects, including planning and implementing investigation and remediation projects, budgeting, schedule adherence, client satisfaction, and profitability.
Mentor junior staff and supervise subcontractors.
Develop work plans, evaluate environmental data, and prepare reports.
Review and manage written document production.
Prepare for and participate in meetings with clients, regulatory personnel, and other stakeholders.
Direct multidisciplinary project teams.
Support lead generation, business development, staff development, and mentoring as part of Geosyntec's sell-manage-do business model.
Help broaden our reputation via publishing and attending prominent industry conferences.
Travel to client or project sites as needed using company or personal vehicles.
Education and Licensure
Bachelor's degree in environmental science, environmental engineering, geology, biology, or related field (required).
Advanced degree (preferred).
Professional registration (e.g., P.G., P.E.) (preferred).
Skills, Experience And Qualifications
At least 8 years (10+ preferred) of direct environmental consulting experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience (required).
Experience with multi-disciplinary project teams (required).
Proven leadership skills (required).
Ability to succeed in a fast-paced consulting environment, manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and travel to client facilities as needed (required).
Regional visibility through involvement in professional associations or trade organizations (preferred).
Valid U.S. driver’s license and a satisfactory driving record for business travel (required).
Field work and overnight travel may be required.
Current OSHA 40-hour HAZWOPER training and refreshers (preferred).
Health & Safety training, medical monitoring, and client-driven drug and background testing may be required (preferred).
Compensation and Benefits The compensation ranges below are location-dependent. Typical base salary ranges for the specified locations are provided for guidance and depend on education, experience, skill set, and location.
Columbia, MD: $109,805/year to $177,805/year
Washington, DC: $115,040/year to $186,275/year
