Material Handler/Forklift Driver, 3rd Shift at Ferrara. Location: Chicago, IL. Responsibilities
Transport products, packaging and raw materials to and from production lines, packaging areas, and trailers. Organize packaging and return areas, load or unload trailers. Complete forklift driver’s daily checklist form. Replenish fluids and generate maintenance work request forms for repairs needed. Maintain safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations. Pick and stage packaging and supplies at work sites. Receive materials from production by verifying and identifying information and quantity of materials, placing materials in inventory. Load and unload trailers. Verify case/pallet counts and patterns; report discrepancies to the floor and/or the department supervisor. Demonstrate knowledge of all Material Handler duties and responsibilities. Conduct assigned work safely and adhere to BBPC safety methods. Adhere to all BBPC GMPs. Assist in inventory reconciliation process. Maintain a clean and neat work area at all times. Maintain inventory control system by tracking, moving, and shipping product using SAP and/or Excel. Perform duties safely and report all observed safety hazards to managers; perform other related duties as assigned by management. Adhere to all company policies and procedures. Ability to operate a sit-down forklift Active forklift certification Ability to speak, write and read English Willingness to work overtime as needed and work with minimum supervision Able to lift up to 60 lbs Must be able to operate a stretch-wrapper Promote teamwork, possess a good attitude, and exhibit flexibility and willingness to perform tasks as needed What We Offer
