Join Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory (LLNL) as a Section Leader for the Electromagnetics Section (EMS). The role requires an active Department of Energy Q‑level or Top Secret clearance and SCI access.
Location Livermore, CA
Salary Range $262,410 – $332,772 Annually
Responsibilities
Lead EMS technical teams, manage projects, allocate resources, and influence strategic plans.
Formulate short‑term and long‑term strategic goals, collaborate with division managers.
Oversee EMS management, support Division policy development, budgeting, hiring plans.
Influence technical decisions, identify new business opportunities, partner with customers.
Champion engineering best practices, safety standards, and career development.
Maintain Integrated Safety Management, Safeguards and Security compliance.
Qualifications
DOE Q‑level or Top Secret clearance, SCI access.
Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or related field.
Expert knowledge in pulse‑power, plasma, high energy physics, accelerators, flux compression, diagnostics.
Extensive experience in electromagnetic applications, programmatic leadership.
Excellent communication, leadership, problem‑solving.
Master’s or PhD preferred.
