Responsibilities

As part of the Project Management Chapter (PMC), the Global Project Manager (GPM) leads optimized product delivery and is accountable for all project management aspects of various projects from simple to complex, from concept through completion.

Develops and directs detailed work plans, schedules, project estimates, spending, resource plans, and status reports; translates projects into products and enables efficient use of energy and time while adapting to changing business needs across the portfolio.

Drive the delivery of innovative Companion Diagnostics projects, partnering with internal stakeholders and external Pharma partners.

Own project/program/product structures for product development and product care activities, including communication management, timelines, resource and budget plans, progress, and cost control.

Create, coordinate, and maintain integrated project plans with dependencies, resources, and budgets to support efficient execution.

Accountable for quality implementation in complex projects, including project risk management, critical path analysis, scenario analysis, budget analysis, and robust planning.

Identify project risks and potential implications for budget, timeline, and scope; proactively identify gaps or bottlenecks and propose options to keep projects on track; communicate issues to stakeholders.

Execute project management processes, guide milestone and capacity reviews (e.g., cQCR, SCR, fQCR), and lead improvement initiatives as applicable.

Implement best practices in project/product teams and foster continuous improvement by sharing knowledge with peers.

Apply appropriate project methodologies and Agile practices; coach teams in project methodology; operate in a hybrid Agile role when applicable.

Lead meetings and foster knowledge sharing to enhance project effectiveness and optimized delivery.

Establish, measure, and report KPIs, OKRs or OBPs for projects to enable measurement and improvement of quality, efficiency, and effectiveness.

Act as a trusted advisor with a 360° view to support project/product teams and the broader organization in holistic planning and risk management; be the single point of contact for project and program data.

Manage project/product team information to support teams, Life Cycle Teams (LCTs), and other governing bodies; provide high-level planning data for scenario analysis and portfolio decision-making.

Serve as Agile Program Manager as defined by SAFe where applicable.

Who You Are

Experience with Planisware, MS Office, G-Suite and project management tools (e.g., Trello, Lucidchart, Smartsheet, Jira, Azure DevOps).

Strong problem-solving, critical thinking, and ability to synthesize information to identify improvement opportunities.

Proven track record delivering high-complexity product development projects from concept to commercialization.

Interpersonal and influencing skills with the ability to drive decisions and proactively communicate issues to stakeholders.

Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills for cross-functional collaboration.

Deep understanding of Design Control and/or Phased Development processes.

Knowledge of healthcare quality, risk, and regulatory compliance.

Strategic and tactical thinking with strong analytical skills; ability to escalate and drive management decisions.

Value delivery mindset.

Bachelor's degree in science, engineering, or business related fields.

4+ years of project management experience in diagnostic, medical device, health science, pharmaceutical or biotech industries leading complex new product development and product care projects. Experience in other regulated industries will be considered.

1+ year of experience in clinical biomarker or In Vitro Diagnostic development, companion diagnostic development, analytical/clinical validations, regulatory submissions, or instrument development and program management.

1+ year of experience in a regulated industry (e.g., FDA 21 CFR Part 820, ISO 13485, ISO 9001).

Preferred

Master's degree in science, engineering, or business fields.

Experience with Agile development practices and mindset.

PMP Certification and SAFe Certification.
