in the Home & Garden business unit based in St. Louis, Missouri. We supply consumer products for home, lawn, garden, insect and weed control markets with well-recognized brands such as Spectracide®, Hot Shot®, Cutter®, Repel®, Black Flag®, Garden Safe®, EcoLogic® and Liquid Fence®.

Job Summary This role leads new product development (NPD) projects from concept to launch, facilitating cross‑functional collaboration, managing stage‑gate processes, and driving continuous improvement. The position requires strong project management, communication, and leadership skills, and the ability to oversee multiple initiatives and direct reports.

Responsibilities

Project Management (35%) – Identify, plan and coordinate cross‑functional team activities; create and manage project timelines; maintain critical path and milestones; liaise between Marketing, R&D, Regulatory, Packaging, Supply Chain, Manufacturing and Sourcing; communicate risks and updates to stakeholders.

Manage Stage‑Gate Process (25%) – Facilitate NPD meetings, deliver clear instructions to resolve roadblocks, prepare reports, lead discussions, produce KPI reports, and keep projects aligned with business objectives.

Maintain NPD Database (25%) – Use the NPD database to track project progression, enter descriptors, maintain scope changes, and ensure data accuracy and communication of changes.

Continuous Improvement (15%) – Optimize the stage‑gate process, broaden KPI data collection, support new reporting tools, research faster project methodologies, and create a safe and respectful work environment.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Operations Management or equivalent.

7–9 years of project management in CPG or manufacturing, with leadership experience.

PMI certification a plus; consumer product goods experience a plus.

Required Skills

Excellent oral, written and presentation communication.

Strong knowledge of ideation stage‑gate processes and milestone methodologies.

Proficient in Microsoft Project or similar project management software; Workfront experience a plus.

Experience with automated scheduling tools and database systems.

Proactive problem‑solving and risk assessment.

Effective meeting facilitation and management.

Organizational, motivational, and negotiation capabilities.

Work Environment Hybrid role: Tuesday‑Thursday at the Earth City, MO office. Normal office conditions. The above description indicates the general nature and level of work performed.
