Join our dynamic team as a Commercial HVAC Service Manager Technician, where your expertise will ensure the efficiency and reliability of our clients' HVAC systems. In this vital role, you'll lead service operations, manage a skilled team of technicians, and deliver exceptional customer service.
Job Responsibilities:
Supervise and lead the HVAC service team in daily operations and maintenance activities.
Schedule and coordinate service calls, ensuring timely and efficient completion of work orders.
Diagnose and troubleshoot complex HVAC issues for commercial systems, providing expert solutions.
Conduct regular inspections and preventative maintenance on HVAC equipment to ensure optimal performance.
Train and mentor junior technicians, sharing expertise and promoting best practices in HVAC service.
Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and safety protocols during all service operations.
Maintain accurate records of service calls, repairs, and maintenance activities for reporting and analysis.
Collaborate with clients to understand their HVAC needs and provide high-quality customer service.
Assist in the development and implementation of service improvement strategies and initiatives.
Manage inventory of parts and tools, ensuring availability and proper use by the service team.
Coordinate with vendors and suppliers to procure necessary equipment and materials.
Review and approve service reports, timesheets, and expense reports submitted by technicians.
Participate in budget planning and management for the service department.
Address and resolve customer complaints and service issues promptly and professionally.
Stay updated on the latest HVAC technologies and industry trends to enhance service delivery.
Job Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree or certification in HVAC/R preferred.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in commercial HVAC service and repair.
Proven experience in a supervisory or management role.
Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, components, and controls.
Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
Familiarity with industry standards, regulations, and codes.
Excellent troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
Strong leadership and team management abilities.
Effective communication and customer service skills.
Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
Ability to work in various environmental conditions, including confined spaces and at heights.
Proficiency in using HVAC diagnostic tools and software.
Availability for on-call duty and emergency response.
Ability to lift and carry heavy equipment and tools as required.
