Under limited supervision, performs a variety of complex assignments related to the creation and maintenance of engineering documentation. Performs required MRP and CAD system administration, including but not limited to part number, BOM and router entry and maintenance, and drawing and engineering document updates. Oversees revision control of all engineering documentation. Implements documentation control policies and procedures. Acts as the communication link with manufacturing on product release documentation and sustaining engineering. Checks and verifies information on CAD drawings, BOMs and ECOs for accuracy and completeness. Helps maintain computer databases and files for engineering drawings, ECOs, customer drawings/specifications and associated reference material. Essential Job Functions

Enter new component and assembly part numbers in SAP. Enter new component and assembly BOM in SAP. Enter new component and assembly routers in SAP. Assign and input standard and special part numbers in the engineering database. File drawings/specifications in alpha/numeric sequence (ASCII collating sequence). Make copies of drawings using office and engineering copiers, scanners and plotters. Maintain ECO (Engineering Change Order) database using a desktop computer. Process ECOs utilizing approved database. Maintain engineering drawing database using a desktop computer. Maintain customer drawing/specification database using a desktop computer. Continuous Improvement activities. Other duties as required in support of the department and the company. Supervisor Responsibilities

Computer knowledge (Windows OS, Microsoft Word, Access, Excel, Adobe Acrobat) with preferred experience in Microsoft Access. Ability to communicate and interface well with a wide range of people. Good oral and written communication skills. Good organizational and time management skills. Able to multi-task and prioritize work effectively to meet deadlines. Able to be detail oriented, review high volumes of data, analyze, interpret and identify issues. Education and Experience

High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training preferred. 1-3 years of experience in documentation control in an engineering environment preferred. Background in aerospace, defense, or cable assembly industries favored. Language Requirements

Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English. Conversational in other languages is a plus. Job Skills

Intermediate to advanced level in MS Office Suite and SharePoint. Basic to intermediate knowledge of ERP systems; SAP preferred. Detail oriented. Physical Demands

The employee must sit for lengthy periods while operating a computer and frequently use hands to type, handle objects, and communicate verbally. May need to stand, walk, reach, and lift up to 20 pounds. Reasonable accommodations will be provided under ADA. Work Environment

Salary range is approximately $24.50 to $27.00 hourly, subject to factors such as duties, experience, and location. Amphenol CIT reserves the right to modify this description.
