Purpose: Oversee all development services functions for the College of Natural Sciences Development Office. Responsibilities
Collaborate with CNS department leadership, undergraduate and graduate education, scholarship office and scholarship and fellowship recipients to manage systems and processes related to donor relations, including top donor stewardship plans, endowment impact reports, gift agreements, and regular thank you letters. Provide high-level service for donor and prospective donor inquiries related to gift administration, special impact reporting, and donor recognition and stewardship. Strategically develop and implement an effective donor relations program through stewardship and recognition efforts that support donor cultivation and retention. Success will be measured annually by donors’ repeat and increased gifts. Work with the gift officer team to implement stewardship and recognition programs that deepen donor engagement and contribute to new and/or additional revenue and funding opportunities. Other related responsibilities and duties as assigned. Required Qualifications
A bachelor's degree is required, along with two years of progressively responsible experience in development. Experience interacting with top-level clients or customers both internally and externally, as well as supporting senior administrators, faculty, and fellow gift officers. Exceptional verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills. Ability to think strategically and creatively, manage multiple projects under pressure, and handle sensitive information with complete confidentiality. Proven project management skills and experience working effectively in a team-oriented environment; ability to work independently with integrity and professionalism. Relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate. Preferred Qualifications
Experience working in a large-scale research university. Working knowledge of UT Austin’s structure, policies, procedures, and VIP database. Salary Range
$70,000 + depending on qualifications Working Conditions
May work around standard office conditions. Repetitive use of computer equipment. Use of manual dexterity. Reasonable lifting and moving. Wear appropriate office attire. Work as a team member as well as independently. Accept supervision. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required. Required Materials
