Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking a member for the Strategic Customer Engagements (SCE) team to focus on the Private Equity Industry. This is a unique opportunity to engage with AWS customers on strategic opportunities, increase the growth of AWS and to establish AWS as their key cloud technology provider. This role will manage the end-to-end deal cycle for strategic, large, complex or highly competitive deals within the Private Equity vertical, earning trust with customers by creating actionable strategies, developing and shaping opportunities, and leading deal engagements through negotiations and closure. This highly visible role will align with C-level executives, IT teams, and multiple lines of business to achieve business outcomes, increase AWS adoption, and enable private pricing, go-to-market, pan-Amazon, and other strategic relationships. You will work with AWS customers, AWS field sales executives, and internal stakeholders to empower customers to evolve and address challenges with innovative solutions.
Responsibilities
Lead negotiations and customer closure for strategic, large, complex or highly competitive deals.
Develop and shape the overall deal strategy and structure to meet customer business outcomes and goals.
Partner with Sales and PE BD to manage Success Criteria and KPIs of the PE Program.
Contribute to developing AWS’s value proposition and solutions.
Drive revenue growth and Cloud adoption.
Collaborate with regional and global stakeholders across Sales, Service Teams, Finance, Legal, and other units.
Act as a trusted advisor in the development of the commercial strategy of deals with AWS Field Sales Executives; partner in the execution of the sales cycle for strategic opportunities.
Inspire and facilitate alignment with internal stakeholders to remove obstacles and achieve business outcomes.
Develop pricing strategies and communicate deal blockers.
Lead or support presentation of deal proposals to customers.
For key deals and escalations, lead the winning strategy, coach the field team, and manage the SCE deal team.
Support AWS’s strategy for the Private Equity vertical with regional leadership.
About The Team At AWS, the Global Deal Strategy and Programs (GDSP) team drives cloud adoption and business growth through innovative pricing strategies. The team includes the Strategic Customer Engagements unit, guiding transformative deals with industry leaders, and Private Pricing Programs & Experiences, which scales pricing solutions across customers. You will develop cloud economics expertise, sharpen strategic thinking, and impact AWS’s market leadership while working with global clients.
Qualifications Basic Qualifications
8+ years of demonstrated success with customers on substantial, strategic, and complex software or cloud services/infrastructure deals from opportunity through closure.
8+ years of experience presenting to and negotiating with C-level executives, IT, lines of business, procurement, finance, and legal/internal stakeholders for sizeable deals.
Bachelor degree in Business, Economics, Technology or Finance (or equivalent work experience).
Preferred Qualifications
Advanced degree or equivalent relevant experience.
Direct field experience with enterprise accounts.
Knowledge of AWS products and services.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
