Responsible for shipping (domestic/international) and receiving functions in a timely and accurate manner Ensure materials are received from proper vendors, placed in correct inventory locations, and that finished goods are packaged according to specification and shipped promptly Review receipt of all materials to ensure purchase orders are open and the quality of materials received is correct (e.g., material certificates, First Article Inspection documents) Ensure packing slips and material certification documents are validated, filed accurately Examine contents and compare with shipping request to verify outgoing shipment accuracy Determine shipping method for material using knowledge of procedures, routes, and rates Coordinate with carrier representatives to arrange shipping and deliver instructions Prepare Commercial Invoices for cross-border shipments and file accurately Unpack and check goods received against purchase orders or invoices; maintain records and reject unsatisfactory items Examine stock and distribute materials within inventory and on manufacturing lines Follow all company and facility policies including quality, safety, conduct and attendance Pick orders for shipping with support staff Maintain security, accuracy, and accountability of materials and goods with inventory control Measure/weigh and record shipment data (weight, dimensions) Establish and modify operational methods and procedures Responsible for shipping and receiving key process indicators Maintain documentation reflecting department activity effectiveness and efficiency Perform receiving, storing and distributing tasks for metals and purchased parts; assist with related duties Unpack and check goods; maintain records of received goods Operate forklift (standing up, sit-down rider) and pallet jack as needed Coordinate with production team to ensure inventory availability based on orders Report and document shipment, freight damages or discrepancies for investigation Assist with inventory counts of finished goods Quality control – ensure shipping and receiving Oracle transactions are timely and accurate Conduct inventory counts Load/unload materials from/to trucks; deliver or route materials to departments via forklift or pallet jack Ensure shipments align with EHS policies; report suspicious material to onsite Safety team Palletize and prepare material; create packaging if needed Maintain records such as Inbound and Outbound logs and prepare related reports Overtime may be required; actively practice safety warehouse rules Lead and participate in 5S and warehouse continuous improvement activities Complete all training assigned for the position in a timely manner Perform other shipping, receiving and inventory control duties as required by the area Supervisor/Manager Qualifications
4+ years working experience in Shipping/Receiving or Warehouse Operations High School Diploma Data entry experience Oracle experience is a plus Experience with forklift and pallet jack Working knowledge of domestic and international shipping documentation Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow through on shipping issues Team-oriented with a strong sense of urgency for deliverables Flexible within a rapidly changing, dynamic work environment Working knowledge of FedEx online software General understanding of warehouse practices Ability to prioritize and execute multiple tasks simultaneously Participation in 5S, Continuous Improvement and Safety activities Equal Opportunity Employer : Sanmina is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
