As an Analyst - Transportation, you will be responsible for providing analytical support for transportation programs including small package, LTL, private fleet, dedicated, international, courier, truckload, rail or expedited. You will also be responsible for supporting government regulatory agencies, auxiliary programs including car allowance reimbursement, freight audit and payment, and supply chain analytics. Responsibilities
Assist to develop, negotiate, and administer national programs for specific modes, including small package, LTL, private fleet, dedicated, international, courier, truckload, rail and expedited. Provide customer service to internal and external customer inquiries. Analyze and improve mode-specific service and expense metrics. Create and maintain appropriate daily, weekly, and monthly management reporting. Provide specific analysis on transportation or supply chain initiatives. Participate in LEAN initiatives. Responsible for regulatory compliance at branches and distribution centers. Ensure company dangerous goods policies meet specific laws and regulations governing safe handling, packaging, and transportation of materials, and employees are properly trained and documented. May manage self-clearance customs process through preparing entries and submissions to respective agencies. May assist with yearly free trade agreement solicitations, qualifications and renewals, preparation of blanket and individual certificates of origin. May assist with the implementation of any new customs initiatives or projects. Qualifications
High School Degree or Equivalent required Associates’ Degree (U.S.)/College Diploma (Canada) preferred Licenses/Certificates/Designations – Canada Certified Logistics Professional (CITT/CCLP), Canada Professional Freight Forwarder (CIFFA/PPF), or Canada Certified Customs Specialist (CCS) preferred 2 years required of transportation, customs, logistics or supply chain Strong written and verbal communication skills Strong analytical and organizational skills Strong computer skills (Microsoft Office) Strong interpersonal skills, self-motivated Strong computer skills (SharePoint, Transportation & customs-specific systems) Knowledge of Tariff Classification About the Team
