Job Description
Act as manager when the manager is unavailable
In charge of shifts and delegating tasks
Restock the register nightly for the correct change
Prepare deposits and take them to the bank if needed
Assist with managing inventory and placing orders
Assist in writing the schedule and collecting information from employees about schedule issues
Lead the team, ensuring food is made accurately and delivered to customers in a timely manner
Show exemplary knowledge of the job and excellent customer service
Deal with upset customers and food issues in a polite way to ensure customer satisfaction
Accept deliveries, ensure completeness/correctness or issue refunds
Communicate with managers about inventory status, arrivals, and stock levels
Communicate with managers about employee strengths, dependability, and customer service
Manage break schedules and ensure timely arrival of staff
Attend Management Meetings
Share ideas to improve efficiency, safety, etc.
Assist with interviews, evaluations, and training
Explain health benefits of ingredients to customers in an upbeat, informative manner
Keep the front lobby, kitchen, and exterior areas clean at all times
Provide excellent customer service and be polite and informative
Assist in all team member tasks as needed
Have thorough knowledge of food and recipes; follow recipes and prepare food in a timely and sanitary manner
Prep food according to proper procedures
Continuously clean the kitchen and lobby
Put away deliveries and keep everything organized
Wash dishes and store away appropriately
Coordinate with staff to ensure orders are prepared correctly and timely
Complete opening and closing duties
Follow sanitation guidelines and safety procedures
Stock and rotate food
Practice cost-control measures
Track food quality
Handle special circumstances
Communicate effectively with coworkers and managers
Qualifications / Requirements
Become food certified
Ability to use basic computer/POS system; handle cash and credit cards
Adhere to health, sanitary, and safety requirements
Ability to stand for long periods, occasionally lift heavy boxes, move quickly, and show urgency
Maintain a clean and professional personal appearance
Positive attitude and ability to work well with others
Leadership abilities and management experience a plus
Restaurant experience a plus
