Overview
Arc Experience provides before and after school programs for youth throughout Southern California in Los Angeles, San Diego, and Imperial Valley. Arc is looking for motivated and compassionate people who want to expand their career working with youth and have a desire to give back to their community. Program Leaders are essential at our company because they work directly with our students, supporting their social-emotional learning, helping with homework, enrichment activities, learning new skills, having fun, and ensuring safety after school. Responsibilities
Greet and welcome kids to the program at the end of their school day. Organize and lead activities, including homework help, recreation games, arts and crafts, and educational projects. Join in indoor and outdoor enrichment activities. Create unique clubs for students (examples include career readiness, cooking, anime, and dance). Maintain a secure environment by following safety protocols, monitoring student behavior, and managing group dynamics. Oversee the safety and well-being of students during after-school activities. Encourage participation and adapt activities to meet diverse needs and interests. Qualifications
At least one year of experience working in after-school programs or youth recreation, especially in ethnically and culturally diverse communities. Strong communication skills with kids and parents. College transcripts showing 48+ college credit units completed OR ability to pass an academic proficiency exam. TB test results and proof of a negative result; ability to pass a Live Scan background check. English-Spanish bilingual candidates are encouraged; bilingual resumes are a plus. If required by the school, provide documentation that you are fully Covid-19 vaccinated. Schedule
Monday to Friday Morning Shift (Optional): 6am-8am Afternoon Shift: 2pm-6pm (one day of the week may be a minimum day) Location & Commute
Reliable commute before starting work (required). Employment Type
