The Business Resiliency Manager is responsible for designing and executing Varo's Business Resiliency Program. Key responsibilities include conducting an annual Business Impact Analysis, developing and maintaining Business Continuity (BC) and Disaster Recovery (DR) plans, and facilitating testing exercises. This role involves assessing the resiliency of third-party vendors and technology solutions, reporting to management and regulators, and working with the Crisis Management Team during disruptive events. $120,000.00/yr - $170,000.00/yr What you’ll be doing
Design and execute Varo’s Business Resiliency Program Facilitate the annual completion of the enterprise Business Impact Analysis to identify acceptable recovery time periods and resource requirements for business processes, applications, and the enterprise Liaise with key business, technology, and application teams to set recovery time objectives, recovery point objectives, service level agreements with vendors, convey business needs, and identify gaps Partner with business process and application owners to develop and maintain BC and DR strategies and plans Develop BC and DR testing scenarios and facilitate exercises with key stakeholders; create an annual test schedule and lead execution with partners across Varo Report on test results and track remediation actions with relevant groups Provide material and lead conversations with external regulatory partners on BC Assess the resiliency of third-party relationships and work with Third Party Risk Management on events affecting a third party Assess technology resiliency of current and proposed technology solutions; act as a consultant for resiliency programs Create incident documentation, including root cause analysis and remediation plans for third party and internal incidents Monitor internal and external environments for potential events and coordinate notifications and communications Work with the Crisis Management Team during disruption events and facilitate post-mortem analysis and remediation tracking Monitor program compliance and effectiveness through KRI and KPI metrics and prepare management and board reports Provide ongoing SME guidance on business resiliency, including training and awareness materials Collaborate with Human Resources to identify events activating BC or DR plans and communicate with impacted stakeholders Qualifications
Minimum of 5 years managing Business Resiliency, Business Continuity, and Disaster Recovery within an organization Minimum of 7 years experience in a financial services or technology company Bachelor’s degree with a concentration in Information/Cyber Security or Computer Science, Information Technology (preferred) Business Continuity Certification and understanding of governance frameworks (e.g., CBCP, CBCI, ISO22301, ISO22316) Experience reporting to senior management and/or the Board Experience managing internal, external, and regulatory audits Ability to work nights and weekends during a crisis event Understanding of disaster recovery concepts for modern technology stacks (digital, cloud, APIs, emerging technologies) Strong leadership and collaboration skills; excellent communication and documentation abilities AWS Cloud Practitioner Certification training within 12 months if offered employment (for candidates without AWS Cloud experience) We recognize not everyone will have all of these requirements. For cash compensation, we set standard ranges for all US-based roles based on function, level, and geographic location. The salary range for this role is $120,000 - $170,000.
