The Food and Beverage Manager oversees front of house operations of the food and beverage department. Works with the Food and Beverage Director and Executive Chef daily to coordinate special functions, quality control, and proper service requirements, while maintaining proper staffing levels.

Major Responsibilities/Activities
Directly responsible for the day-to-day operations of assigned venue.
Maintain a professional appearance at all times.
Interface with guests to gather feedback on service, product, and value.
Handle guest issues to ensure guest satisfaction by listening carefully and taking appropriate action.
Ensure all food and beverage products meet established standards.
Provide proper levels of service based on forecasted needs, utilizing minimum labor levels.
Complete daily financial reports; responsible for food and beverage costs and controls.
Communicate variances from standards to the Accounting, IT departments, and Food & Beverage Director.
Handle service equipment safely and report mechanical issues.
Maintain a neat, clean, organized, safe, and comfortable environment for employees and guests.
Work with the Chef to ensure quality, presentation, and timely food service.
Hire, train, evaluate performance, discipline, and release staff as needed.
Maintain proper par levels and condition of equipment and supplies.
Establish and uphold high standards of service.
Oversee employee scheduling to maximize productivity within budget while maintaining service quality.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements
Preference for qualified Santa Ana Tribal Members.
Graduate of a post-high school two-year Culinary Arts School or equivalent experience in food and beverage leadership.
Proven ability to implement and maintain food production standards.
Strong interpersonal, customer service, and communication skills.
At least five years of restaurant industry experience, including managerial roles in full-service restaurants.
Excellent customer service, communication, team building, and problem-solving skills.
Availability to work various shifts including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Knowledge of food and beverage administration, cost control, and all service phases.
Possession of a New Mexico liquor server’s license and Food Handlers Card.
Ability to tend bar if necessary.
Smartphone capable of running company applications; company may provide a device if needed.
Proficiency in using smartphones for company communication.
Ability to obtain and maintain a Pueblo of Santa Ana Gaming Regulatory Commission key gaming license.
Essential Mental Functions
Excellent multi-tasking and time management skills.
Ability to handle conflicts and solve problems effectively.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and deal with stressful situations professionally.
Strong analytical skills.
Essential Physical Functions
Frequent standing, walking, bending, handling, reaching, talking, and hearing.
Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and move up to 75 lbs.
Ability to work in outdoor environments and in inclement weather.
