Directional Drill Operator/Locator Foreman , you will develop new skills, work in a safety-minded environment, and join us in expanding technology for a better community. Responsibilities Operate horizontal/directional drill rigs, locating equipment, and product support equipment. Ensure safety of the public and underground utilities. Perform duties according to safety procedures and use safety equipment. Setup and cleanup work sites, including traffic and pedestrian control. Read utility locates and coordinate day lighting of facilities. Ensure permits and locates are complete and on-site. Inspect ongoing work for compliance with specifications. Operate construction equipment to meet grade specifications. Level earth to final grade. Operate vehicles and equipment as directed and certified. Perform maintenance on equipment. Lead teams effectively in the field as needed. Qualifications Safety is a part of your daily routine. Track record of high-quality work completion. Problem-solving skills with a hands-on approach. Seeking long-term projects. Enjoy working outdoors with your team. At least 3 years of Horizontal Directional Drill experience. Valid driver's license; CDL required within 30 days. Experience with Vermeer or Ditch Witch units and various locating equipment. Experience in underground construction and fiber builds. Knowledge of city, county, and state clearance codes. Ability to read maps, drawings, and diagrams. Willing to work outdoors in all weather conditions and overtime. Compensation: $25.00 to $40.00 per hour.
