Overview
Project Manager Gas Operations | TX/GA at Bermex. The Project Manager reports to the Operations Manager and directs personnel, staffing, training, planning, and oversees operations and fiscal health. Responsible for maintaining excellent customer service while managing field service operations for groups of employees. Plans and maintains work systems, procedures, and policies to enable optimum performance. Requires high organization, attention to detail, and strong leadership. Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Manage and Maintain Workforce
Ensure the health and safety of the workforce Maintain inventory of tools, equipment and supplies Ensure vehicles, tools, and equipment are clean, safe, and properly functioning Maintain productivity levels through effective monitoring of staffing and financial requirements Develop an employee-oriented culture emphasizing quality, continuous improvement, retention, development, and high performance Coach, mentor and develop staff, including overseeing new employee onboarding Guide personnel to achieve optimum performance Follow fleet standards and vehicle operating policies Control maintenance and repair of vehicles Train personnel in safety and accident prevention programs Understand and adhere to all company safety procedures related to essential job functions Collaborate with Management Personnel
Formulate departmental goals, strategies, and operating policies and procedures; direct implementation of approved changes Prepare department forecast and monitor expenses Prepare and maintain records and reports related to meter reading Complete quality control audits on field personnel monthly Provide recommendations on employment, performance, salary changes, promotions, transfers, and terminations Provide written communication on economy/efficiency of operations, quality control performance, production/personnel scheduling, and client relationships Work with Human Resources to recruit, interview, select, hire, and employ appropriate personnel Customer Communication
Refer consumer complaints to appropriate authorities Ensure all complaints are resolved in a timely manner and meet client expectations Train employees on conflict resolution strategies Requirements
Minimum Qualifications: Education: High School Degree/GED Experience: 1 year of leadership/management or supervisory experience and 3 years of experience in gas meter exchanges and related natural gas operations (pilot relights or similar). Willing to travel up to 70% across the US. Ability to become a proctor and evaluator for operator qualifications for natural gas meter exchanges and relights Preferred Qualifications: Education: Bachelor’s Degree in a related field Experience: 2+ years of management experience 3 years of experience in water, gas, and electric meter installation project management Desired Skills: Ability to multi-task and work independently or as part of a team Flexibility in daily routines Excellent time management and communication skills; comfortable interacting with management and customers Professional handling of unhappy or negative customers Strong attention to detail for problem solving Proven leadership and team management abilities Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365 (Outlook, Excel, Word, etc.) Office and Work Environment
