Our client, a well-known Top 100 Property & Casualty Insurance Broker, is seeking an experienced

Commercial Insurance Manager

to join their growing team. You will personally handle a select portfolio and oversee a department of roughly 10 account managers. Prior experience managing people is required. The role focuses on delivering high client service, department leadership, retention, quality assurance, hiring, performance evaluations, and implementing department goals. Position is open due to growth. Location : Poughkeepsie, NY (2x a week in office) Base pay range : $125,000.00/yr - $140,000.00/yr Summary

Oversee daily operations within the Commercial Lines Department, including handling new business, delegating to account managers, implementing and auditing workflows, and ensuring a high retention rate for the book of business. Conduct routine audits for quality control and compliance. Hire, train, and perform evaluations of staff. Build and strengthen client relationships by addressing needs and resolving underwriting or policy issues. Manage daily account activities for client accounts (policies/endorsements, invoicing, certificates of insurance, premium breakdowns, auto ID cards, policy changes, policy form reviews, coverage comparisons, loss analysis, and coverage inquiries). Document conversations and share information with colleagues regarding coverage issues, market availability, and market conditions. Utilize system capability (EPIC) to maintain complete and accurate data and documents. Manage renewals for all assigned clients, including loss information review, information gathering, renewal applications, remarketing, pricing negotiation, and preparation of renewal proposals and binders. Requirements

Ability to work in the office 2x per week Active NY/NJ P&C license At least 10 years of experience with a retail insurance broker At least 2-3 years of management or team-lead experience Note: Compensation determined based on education, experience, location, and skill set.
