Overview This position leads the compounding and material handling operations, ensuring high product quality, compliance with cGMP and safety standards, and continuous improvement of manufacturing effectiveness.
Responsibilities
Supervise up to 20 subordinates and oversee all day‑to‑day compounding, mixing, filling and sampling activities.
Maintain accurate inventory control of raw materials, stocks, drums, and transfer containers, ensuring lot numbers, warehouse locations and labeling are correct.
Implement and support continuous improvement projects related to manufacturing effectiveness, material handling and equipment cleaning.
Follow approved manufacturing protocols, SOPs, site regulations and regulatory procedures, keeping detailed log books and audit data.
Manage time‑management database (UltiPro) for production employees, scheduling, approvals and weekly time‑sheet verification.
Review open‑order reports, production logs and attend morning production meetings to verify on‑time production and shipment needs.
Communicate with planning and other departments to maintain appropriate stock levels and planned production.
Work within cGMP, safety, allergen, Halal, kosher, SSOP, SQF, EFfCI and ISO 9001:2015 guidelines and support the Recall Team.
Any other duties as assigned by the production manager.
Serve as backup to the Director.
Qualifications
Strong supervisory background, supervising up to 20 subordinates in a manufacturing environment.
Working knowledge of compounding procedures, basic chemistry, and fragrance raw material handling.
Experience with continuous improvement initiatives in cGMP, safety, allergen, SSOP, EFfCI and ISO guidelines.
Demonstrated ability to maintain inventory control, follow SOPs, and manage time‑sheet data.
Familiarity with food safety, food defense and GMP; required to attend annual food safety training and serve on the Recall Team.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate across planning, materials and warehouse functions.
